As most know, traveling for a living can be extremely dangerous. Not only the fear of a vehicular accident but your own personal safety. In this episode of “THE BLIND SPOT” we will share information with you that just might save your life.
As reported by: 2theadvocate
“The delivery man walked outside to get another load of beer, witnesses told police the unidentified man asked him for money, Meadows said. The two men got into a verbal altercation, which turned into a fistfight, Meadows said.
It started on the side of the building, near an ice machine, and moved onto the pavement in front of the stores front door, said the stores manager, who refused to give his name. We didn’t know anything, the manager said. We were busy with other customers. The men traded blows for 30 to 45 seconds before the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the delivery man.”

On this weeks episode of The Blind Spot we talk with Canadian drivers on their take of the recent mandate of speed limiters. How it will effect the economy and the reason for the push to limit overall speed.
” Quebec will begin requiring speed limiters set to 65 mph for heavy trucks starting Jan. 1, a move denounced by the Owner-Operator Independent Driver Association. OOIDA says it is ready to file a Notice of Intent to Submit a Claim to Arbitration for breach of Canada’s obligations under the North American Free Trade Agreement if it becomes effective. OOIDA accused Julie Boulet, Quebec’s transportation minister, of reneging on her word. On Dec. 13 Boulet had said Quebec would not implement the mandate until Transport Canada completed studies on effectiveness of speed limiters and all other provinces had agreed to similar mandates.
Transport Canada released its studies last spring, which indicated the speed reduction would decrease greenhouse gas and save fuel, but that the action’s safety implications were not as solid. Ontario has also passed the mandate. At least 60 percent of heavy North American truck fleets use speed-control devices and as many as 77 percent of all North American trucks are equipped with them, the study said.In 2005, the Canadian Trucking Alliance asked federal and provincial governments to mandate speed limiters on all heavy trucks to no more than 105 kilometers per hour, or about 65 mph.
American Trucking Associations supports required activation of electronic speed governors on big trucks built since 1992 at 65 mph or slower.”
In the second part of this show we speak with a lady who is having extreme difficulty finding job placement in the trucking industry, due to her DAC Report. We talk about what went wrong, and how to repair it. I remind drivers not to wait till it is to late, with this issue it is important to be proactive instead of reactive.
“What Is A DAC Report?
The DAC employment report is a detailed summary of a trucker’s work history in the trucking industry. Most trucking companies today participate in sharing this information about truckers.
The DAC employment report contains items such as number of accidents, reasons for quitting or why the were fired, if they are eligible for re-hire, type of driving, commodities hauled, types of trailers pulled and MUCH more. They can also verify social security numbers, driver’s license numbers, criminal reports, worker’s compensation reports, and much more.”

How Do I Contact DAC To Get My Report?
call the DAC Consumer Department: 1-800-381-0645 (m-f 8-5 central)
visit website: Here Note: Of Course, You CAN NOT get a copy online, you must call OR write them to get a copy of your DAC report.

Politics is not generally my type of show. However, I knew from the begining that Barack Obama would be our next president. After many years of studying I can’t help but notice some similaritys between Obama and HITLER. I bit my lip as not to stir up shit. But now that it is confirmed that he is taking office, I feel the need to share my insights with you.
History never repeats itself but sometimes it comes close. Obama is NOT a Fascist to the same extent as other fascists, you see they are much more patriotic and Obama is the sort of America-hater that is now typical of the Left. Right up to JFK, the American Left was patriotic. It no longer is. And sometimes Obama doesn’t even bother to pretend.
This show has some real depth to it, making it near impossible to detail all aspects. FOR THE SAKE OF GOD please listen to this show! Send it to everyone you know if it hits you! We need your help!
Music by: sieg heil
Ludacris - Barack Obama song!
(To note: This show was made to show the similartys between Barack’s speeches and Adolf Hitlers. Anyone who might be offended to hear Hitlers speeches I want to remind those I don’t endorse his message, it is for educational value, that is it! This show is about two people who empowered their people and tho there are differences I am trying to point out the similartys. This show is all about humanity. It is not about race, religion, sex. )
“judge Learned Hand notably said: “Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women; when it dies there, no constitution, no law, no court can even do much to help it. While it lies there it needs no constitution, no law, no court to save it.”

“A male chauvinist pig was a term used in the 1960s among females for men, usually with some power (such as an employer or professor), who believed that men were superior and expressed that opinion freely in word and action.
“Chauvinist” means someone who assertively maintains that his or her kind — usually people of the same nationality — are superior; “chauvinism” refers to an extreme and bigoted form of patriotism.
“Pig” was a word of derision used by some student activists in the 1960s and 70s to refer to police officers and, by extension, others with power.”
In this episode of My Semi Life Trucker Steve rips into all the “A-holes” out here on the road! Today as I was travelling up Interstate 5 I over heard a bunch of male drivers verbally raping a poor lady. In this show with the help of some wonderful female drivers I highlight some of the hardships that female drivers have to deal with. I conclude the show with a well rounded perspective for any women looking to get into trucking.

sen. John McCain with wife, Cindy, Nov. 4 2008 Prescott, AZ
John McCain has conceded that Barack Obama has won the election for president of the United States.
Senator McCain told supporters in his home state of Arizona that he had called his Democratic rival to congratulate him shortly after most polls closed.
McCain said he told Obama he admired him for his ability to inspire the hopes of millions of Americans. McCain said he would do whatever he could to help Mr. Obama to bring the country together and restore prosperity and defend America’s security.
Into days show we the trucking community talk about the future of America. Discussing the issues that matter most to the “working man” the backbone of America. With frequent poll updates and heated conversation from both sides of the table. Today Nov 4 2008 history was made, but are the non-sheep-able happy about this?

I am a real skeptic when it comes to Ghost, spirits, orbs, blah blah blahs. I never really bought into that, I always kind of laughed when people would talk about these so called “occurrence”. So of course when my buddy John was telling me about this urban legend I immediately screamed BS.
The urban legend goes, way out in the woods about 20 miles from Jerome, AZ there is old road that was closed due to being haunted. They say “That back in the 80’s a kid drown out in this creek below the highway on Halloween day while partying with his friends. Since then, the road has had really strange “occurrence”. John told me “if this story is BS then prove it too me”.
So i went out with my camera and a flash light to investigate. In total it was about a 45 minute drive from my house. You travel up hwy 89a for about 30 minutes until approach a side road on the left, at this point I seen no vehicles what so ever parked or moving as this is a really rural road . I traveled up this dark empty road until I came to where it dead ends with barricades meant to block off the road. I was there a total of maybe one hour. See what you want to in this video, but I assure you I will not go back!

In this episode of my semi life I recap my horrible last week. I was informed by the CHP officers that I would have to park my truck in a less then desirable location, which end up costing me 550 dollars for a tow. WOW!
Speaking of WOW, in last weeks episode I talked about my girlfriends sex life. Well she had some news for my butt and made a come back video, which was really funny so you will have to check that out HERE
I love interacting with everyone, that is why I do video and such. Some silly dudes out there however just love to have people stare at them, while offering no entertainment value, they are what i would call %$#%$#. So, instead of joining that crowd I have decided to do a regular live show, but i need your input so listen in! All this was inspired by a evening on stick-am with some friends.
And to close this up, I have decided to give away a h2 zoom recorder (podcast recorder) to some lucky fella, and yes the ladies can join in on the fun too. This contest will be EPIC if you decide it is worth doing.

As reported by: outsourced logisitcs
“Today’s economy is driven by a global supply chain. As the supply chain grows more complex, so does the ability to secure it. One of the biggest challenges affecting businesses today is cargo theft and the resulting potential disruption of the supply chain.
How large is this problem? It is difficult to quantify because cargo theft is not always categorized in the same manner and often goes unreported. According to some observers, loss estimates range from $10 billion to $30 billion a year. However, this figure does not capture the indirect costs associated with theft such as lost sales, production down time and missed deliveries. In addition to the financial losses, certain industries such as alcohol, tobacco, and pharmaceuticals face the risk of their products being sold to minors or being counterfeited.
What’s in it for cargo thieves? Well, the obvious answer is the value of the cargo. However, there is another element affecting the dynamics of cargo theft: a relative lack of downside risk. Cargo moves anonymously across the nation’s roads and highways, through jurisdictions with varying resources and abilities or willingness to prosecute if apprehended. Cargo thieves know that law enforcement and prosecutors are less likely to give cargo theft a high priority when the cargo’s owners, transporters and thieves are from another jurisdiction. If there is an apprehension and prosecution, the sentences are often less than other types of crimes such as drug trafficking. Because of the relative ease of hijacking and lenient punishments, cargo theft continues to grow larger year after year. High-tech, high-value products, specifically consumer electronics, are particularly attractive targets.
The criminal element responsible for cargo theft is more sophisticated than ever. A well-executed cargo theft is preplanned and highly coordinated. The stolen goods are often moved quickly to a warehouse, off-loaded, repackaged, re-manifested and placed on another vehicle, often before the theft is discovered or reported to law enforcement. This “illegitimate supply chain” is managed by organized crime operations that know what they are targeting and have the ability to move, transload and distribute stolen goods within hours. Today’s virtual economy often works against legitimate businesses by facilitating the distribution of stolen goods through online marketers and auction sites.”

Can GPS and Telematics prevent cargo theft? Advances in technology, such as GPS tracking, have improved a fleet manager’s ability to monitor vehicles. Onboard telematics technology significantly improves the vehicle recovery process and may deter a less sophisticated criminal. While there have been many success stories with onboard tracking systems, GPS and other common tracking technologies are frequently defeated as criminals adapt to a hardening of the transportation network. Technology alone is not the magic bullet against cargo theft.
An effective security program must be well planned and combine technology with robust security procedures and fundamental security practices. So in this weeks show we are going to discuss how to prevent cargo theft from a drivers perspective.
